SF MARINA KOREA LTD

SF MARINA KOREA LTD

SOUTH KOREA

South Korea is relatively new to recreational sailing. The country’s first marina, Suyeong Bay Yachting Centre, was built in the south coast city of Busan for the Asian Games and the Seoul Olympics in the 1980s. Today there are almost 40 marinas in Korea.

SF Marina Korea Ltd dates back to 2009 when its first concrete pontoons were delivered to the Jeongok Marina in Hwaseong City, transforming a small fishing harbour into a modern marina with 120 berths. The marina was the country’s first marina to be built in or around the capital. In addition to concrete pontoons and floating breakwaters, SF Marina Korea is also involved in the mooring and anchoring of floating solar photovoltaic systems on ponds and reservoirs throughout South Korea.
