ANCHORS &
CONNECTORS

To distribute stress from currents, tides, waves, and vessel impacts, SF Marina’s floating breakwaters and concrete pontoons are securely anchored and connected. Anchoring options include steel piles with internal or external guides, stiff arms, elastic rods, and chains with embedded anchors. Our patented coupling system allows pontoons to be joined into unlimited lengths while maintaining structural integrity.

ANCHOR SELECTION

Every site presents unique challenges, requiring a tailored anchoring system to account for waves, water depth, seabed conditions, tides, and currents. Chains and embedded anchors are effective in water depths from 3 to 50 metres, supporting marina development in diverse environments. In locations with significant tidal fluctuations, steel pipe piles driven into the seabed provide reliable stability. Regardless of the anchoring system, our pontoons remain stationary, adapting unfailingly to water level changes while minimising environmental impact.

CONNECTORS

Connecting multiple pontoons to withstand extreme conditions requires advanced technology. SF Marina’s patented coupling system ensures that pontoons maintain structural integrity while allowing lateral stability and controlled horizontal movement.

The system includes heavy-duty access wells, steel plates, stainless steel cut-outs, coupling wires packed with anti-corrosive grease, and shock-absorbing rubber cylinders. Centre connectors manage torsional tension, enabling configurations such as L and T shapes. Designed for easy installation and minimal maintenance, our connectors deliver enduring strength and flexibility.
