Safe Harbor, the world’s largest owner and operator of marinas, has transformed over 130 properties by upgrading aging docks and infrastructure, and creating world-class destinations for boaters. At Safe Harbor Rybovich – Berth One in Riviera Beach, well-known for its deep-water Atlantic access, the company partnered with SF Marina to design and construct a state-of-the-art floating dock. Installed in 2024, the dock measures 119 metres in length, 6 metres in width, and features a 0.9 metre freeboard. Built with six durable pontoons engineered for exceptional stability and longevity, the L-shaped dock comprises a 43-metre section extending perpendicular to the shore and a 76-metre section facing the Port of Palm Beach. The dock is anchored by twelve 76-centimetre steel piles arranged in an offset pattern to accommodate small vehicles. These piles are fitted with SF Marina’s innovative guides, incorporating safety covers and cushion block technology to ensure silent movement during tidal changes. Manufactured in Sweden, the 150 metric tonnes of dock pontoons were transported by ship to Florida for installation.
