PERFECTLY POSITIONED IN THE HEART OF GDANSK

Wyspa Spichrzów, or Granary Island, was the centre of Gdansk trade for centuries and helped make the city, situated on Poland’s Baltic coast, one of Europe’s richest. At its peak, between the mid 15th and 17th centuries, there were more than 300 granaries on the island. However, during World War II and the siege of Gdansk (or Danzig as it is known in German and English) all but three of the granaries were destroyed or badly damaged. Some have since been rebuilt, but most ruins stood largely untouched for 70 years. Through a public-private partnership, the northern part of Wyspa Spichrzów has recently been completely transformed into a mixed-use development – Granaria – combining retail, office, leisure, and residential uses into a unique environment in the heart of Gdansk city centre. The dock was installed in June 2022.
