SF MARINA CARIBBEAN

CARIBBEAN

The Caribbean is a vast area that consists of over 700 islands, each with a unique character. Sailing the Caribbean offers everything that makes the activity exceptional – constant wind, turquoise waters, white sandy beaches, lush rainforests, and delicious cuisine. Hurricane season, which typically runs from June to November, makes a convincing case for floating breakwaters and concrete pontoons that can withstand the often damaging combination of storm surge and high tide and still be there after the storm.

SF Marina’s first installation in the Caribbean was the 68-berth Crews Inn marina in Chaguaramas, Trinidad, built in 1996. Crews Inn was followed by several other marina installations, for example the 60-berth Princess Marina in Bermuda, the 80-berth Linton Bay Marina in Panama, and the Tyrell Bay Marina in Carriacou, Grenada. SF Marina Caribbean has also installed two ferry-landing pontoons in Trinidad, one in San Fernando and one in Port of Spain.
